1. Introduction
WhoAmIVibes ("we", "us", or "our") is a globally available application and website developed and operated by the WhoAmIVibes team. We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal information in accordance with applicable laws in the regions where our services are used.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (together, the "Service").
The Service offers many entertainment-only AI analysis experiences (for example: social-profile personality cards, face/palm/foot reading–style reports, beauty and personal-color boards, makeup and lifestyle posters, posture layouts, and zodiac lifestyle shorts with optional video). Outputs are for fun and self-expression, not professional advice.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email address, Apple ID information (when you use Sign in with Apple on iOS), Google account information (when you use Google sign-in on the web, if available), and profile nickname you choose to provide.
- Uploaded Content: Photos and images you voluntarily upload for analysis. Depending on the product you choose, this may include front-facing selfies or portraits; head-and-shoulders or full-body photos; palm or foot photos; or social media profile screenshots. When you pick images from your device, the app or site accesses only the photos you select. On iOS, saving generated images to your library (when you tap download) may require photo-library add permission.
- Analysis Results: AI-generated text insights, illustrated cards, infographic-style reports, still images, and—for some products (such as zodiac lifestyle video)—short vertical videos (MP4) and related poster images.
- Community and Interaction Data: If you use community features, we process information you choose to make public (for example shared analysis cards, likes, and views). We do not display your original uploads in the community feed.
- Reports and Safety: If you report content, we collect the report type and context needed to review it.
- Usage, Diagnostics and Device Information: We use Firebase (Google services) to collect how you use the Service and how it performs. Firebase identifiers are used; upload content and analysis results are not sent to Firebase.
- Device Identifiers: Installation or app-instance identifiers from Firebase for analytics and diagnostics. We do not collect the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not use advertising SDKs for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Payment Information: Records of in-app purchases (Apple) and, on the website, one-time checkout via our payment partner (Creem, when enabled). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and the analysis products you select.
- Process your uploads through automated content checks and AI pipelines to generate outputs (images, reports, and where applicable video).
- Manage your account, authentication, and purchases.
- Show analysis results in the community feed when you choose to share them publicly.
- Review reports, enforce our terms, and protect users (including automated and manual moderation).
- Monitor performance, stability, and user experience using Firebase.
- Communicate with you about updates or important notices.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis (for example GDPR), we rely on: performance of our contract with you; your consent (uploads, optional public sharing); and our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement), where not overridden by your rights.
We do not use analytics for targeted advertising, cross-app profiling, or sale of personal information.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:
- With your consent: When you share analysis results publicly or externally.
- Service Providers:
- AI text, vision, image, and video generation (including Google Gemini, OpenAI, and other model providers via API gateways): to produce analysis text, still images, and—where applicable—short videos (MP4).
- Alibaba Cloud OSS: Storage of uploads and generated media; data may reside in mainland China or other regions.
- Alibaba Cloud Green CIP: Automated review of uploads for prohibited content.
- Creem (web payments, when enabled): checkout on whoamivibes.com.
- Firebase / Google: Analytics and crash reporting.
- Legal Requirements: When disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to equivalent protections.
Where available, we configure AI vendors so your content is used only to provide the Service to us and not to train their general-purpose models.
6. Data Security and Storage
Facial and body imagery (clarification): Our products may analyze visible facial or body features to create entertainment-style reports or artwork. We do not use your photos for identity recognition, law-enforcement identification, or to create or store biometric templates (such as face embeddings used to recognize you across services). Uploads are used to deliver the analysis you requested.
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and monitoring. Data may be stored in the United States, mainland China, the EU, and other regions where we or our providers operate.
7. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above and legal requirements. You may request deletion via in-app account deletion (if available) or [email protected]. Some data may be retained where required by law.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of public sharing of results. Contact [email protected] if you wish to discuss analytics collection. We aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 13 (or higher age where local law requires, e.g. 16). Contact [email protected] if you believe we collected a child's data.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred internationally, including to China, the United States, and other provider locations. We take reasonable steps to protect data on transfer.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy and will revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be notified in-app or on the website.
